My love needs no ornaments

My love needs no ornaments,
she is an ornament in itself,

once a butterfly touched her cheek,
colourful patterns emerged in her wings,

then once she touched a wilting flower,
in the mid of june now it keeps on blossoming,

and once she put her feet into a pond,
and turned the waters into scented perfumes,

somebody go and tell her she is fairer then the clouds,
her face is clearer then the summer noon sky,

she need not do any make up,
Gods have blessed and made her best of kind.

Sometimes when I see you,
it does not seems like
you were born and then grown up,

it seems more like,
a sculptor carved you out,
from the finest stones
by chiseling and making
careful perfect cuts,

then Gods saw that
and in their joy they
said, ah! must have life,
so they put their hand
on to tour head and said
now my child wake up,

and since then you are
beaming love and peace,
on the earthly beings
curing them of sickness
sadness and loneliness,
spreading joy, peace,
love and happiness

like once it happened
in the city of Jerusalem
when in it walked
the father of Christianity
the Jesus of Nazareth.

मैं वक़्त लगा के खोज के तुम्हे ला दूँ,
तुम सो रही हो सर्दी में ठंडी में,
चुपके से आके आहस्ते से कंबल ओढा दूं,

बस जी यही करता रहता है,
जो रह जाए वो मैं पूरा कर दूँ
हवा से तेरी ज़ुल्फ़ जो उड़ती रहे,
मैं उसको वापिस जगह पे रखता रहूँ,

ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਟਾ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਈ ਸੀ,

ਕਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਸਨ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੱਖੜਾ
ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਧਰਤ ਦੇ ਘੜਨਾ ਹੈ,
ਓਹਦੇ ਚ ਨੂਰ ਚਾਂਦਨੀ ਦਾ ਭਰਨਾ ਹੈ,

ਤੇ ਕਲ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁੱਖੜਾ,
ਟੋਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਚੰਨ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ,

ਚੰਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਸੀ,
ਤੇਰੇ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਨ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਰਲਦਾ ਸੀ,

ਓ ਪਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਘੜੀਏ,
ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚਾਵੇਂ,

ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੁੱਲ ਡੁੱਲ ਜਾਵੇਂ,
ਸਾਡੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁੱਖੜੇ ਉਠਾਵੇਂ,

ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ,

ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਏ, ਸਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਏ,
ਪੌਣ ਹੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਕਾਂ ਗੁੰਦੀ ਹੋਈ,

ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ,
ਸਾਹਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਇਹਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਨਹੀਓਂ ਕੋਈ,
ਸਾਡੇ ਵੀਰ ਜਾ ਵੀਰ ਨਹੀਓਂ ਕੋਈ....

ਰੱਬ ਸਭ ਮਿੱਠੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਦਿਨੋ ਦਿਨ ਵਧਾਵੇ,
ਹੁਨਰ, ਹੌਂਸਲਾ, ਹਿੰਮਤ ਵੱਧ ਵੱਧ ਕੇ ਪਾਵੇ,
ਤੱਤੀ ਇਹਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਵਾਹ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ,
ਸਾਡੇ ਵੀਰ ਜਾ ਵੀਰ ਨਹੀਓਂ ਕੋਈ....
